<p><b>NOTE!</b> This software is NOT COMPATIBLE with Handspring Treo 600 Smartphones.<p> <b>ECTACO Partner® Dictionary English<->Japanese<i>for Palm OS</i></b> provides bidirectional word translation. The dictionary includes a searchable database of 400, 000 words and phrases.<p> The new English<->Japanese dictionary is an extensive language resource. It supports the Japanese writing system and features several Japanese character input methods.<p> <i><b>Input by Radical</b></i> allows you to find a character by its radical. This method is mainly used in Kanji->English dictionary. You can use the Japanese virtual keyboard to input Japanese characters. You can access the virtual keyboard by pressing the VK button in the dictionary.<p> <i><b>Transliteration Input</b></i> is supporting frequently-used Japanese writing system kana which is based on two closely related systems <b><i>Hiragana and Katakana.</i></b> To use the <b><i>Transliteration Input</i></b> you must switch to "Kana-Eng" mode in the dictionary and enter characters in the Input Line. The dictionary will translate them automatically into corresponding <b></i>Hiragana or Katakana</i></b> characters.
